HEALTH AND NUTRITION ADVANCEMENT

Objectives

(1) To engage in fundamental health research, surveys and foster creative and effective health innovations that cover the entire spectrum of health-from prevention to diagnosis and treatment for the betterment of the communities in Malawi;

(2) To design, construct, and run clinics, consulting rooms, dispensaries, hospitals, laboratories, nursing homes, and other treatment centres, and any such other facilities as may seem expedient for the treatment of patients;

(3) Educate and train medical students, including nurses, midwives, doctors, paramedical technicians, and other medical professionals and to grant such Certificates, Diplomas, Degrees or any other academic and professional recognitions as the PRDP may prescribe or deem fit from time to time, and to outsource and place nurses, doctors, paramedical technicians and other medical professionals to clients in Malawi on contractual or non-contractual basis;

(4) Manufacture, export, import, and deal in any kinds of medical equipment and pharmaceuticals; and

(5) Ensure safe and reliable water supply systems in Malawi, with a focus on rural and marginalized communities by installing water pumps and boreholes to prevent and control disease outbreaks.
